The reboot cast is, on average, 2 years younger than their TOS counterparts. If you take John Cho out of the equation that jumps up to 4 years…

A bit more maturity would have helped the newer version. Clearly the us is obsessed with the youth culture or perhaps they are just an easier lode to mine.
